Touching Wholeness Group
4 Saturdays in 2026:
May to September- 16 May, 6 June, 18 July, 12 September
10am-5pm
Foxtail Meadow, Bramfield, Suffolk
This series of therapeutic and experiential group workshops draws on Internal Family Systems (IFS), ecotherapy, expressive arts, and mindfulness and is facilitated by an experienced IFS therapist Sebastiana Black

“Coming to three IFS workshops was profoundly beneficial. The experience helped IFS become an embodied and integrated way of being, and it felt truly revelatory. A daily awareness of my parts, held from an adult, Self-led place, is now part of how I live.” – participant at Touching Wholeness one-day workshops in 2025

You will be invited to meet your inner world in new ways through creative explorations and connections, with the support of your compassionate Self, the shared understanding, compassion and empathy of the group, and the natural world of the meadow.
You will begin to befriend your inner family of Parts — your ways of thinking, feeling, and responding —and how they show up in your life and in real-time in the group with growing curiosity and care and find out what they need to stay in connection with your true Self and others.
You will learn to relate with compassion to your inner community, including parts that criticise, strive for perfection, worry, analyse, withdraw, distract or seek comfort in addictive ways. You will also be gently invited to be with more vulnerable parts that carry softer, or harder-to-access emotions, such as sadness, loneliness, shame, anger, and fear.
With more understanding of your parts’ intentions, origins, and protective roles, space may open for healing, change, allowing clarity, self-acceptance and self-compassion to deepen. As your parts begin to relax, their authentic purpose and expressions of their gifts may gradually reveal themselves, supporting a deeper sense of wholeness and Soul connection.
You will be gently guided into a reciprocal relationship with the natural world — honouring it while also drawing inspiration, resources, and support from its beauty and presence. Through this deeper participation with living ecosystems, you may rediscover an innate sense of belonging and begin to experience greater balance, perspective, and wholeness.
Each session will include:
- Establishing a courageous and safe space where all parts are welcome.
- Noticing, turning towards, and learning to understand your parts and find new ways of relating and speaking for them.
- Exploring your inner ecosystem using the IFS map of parts.
- IFS-informed and nature-based meditations.
- Exploring parts through writing, image-making, movement, nature connection, and shared reflection.
- Embodying and inviting qualities of your authentic Self through nature connection, movement, sound, and poetry.
- Reverential and contemplative time on and with the meadow, including land labyrinth walking.
- Time outdoors to find symbols and expressions for your inner experience.
- Inviting a sense of interconnectedness with the natural world through the senses and imagination.
- Connecting with, listening to crack willow, pond, oaks, black poplar, ash, butterflies, insects, Foxtail and Yorkshire Fog grasses, buttercups and many beautiful others.
- A mix of individual, pair, and group work.
- Gratitude practices and closing appreciations
- All practices are offered as invitations, with choice and self-pacing encouraged throughout.

- Inner conflict and inner polarities
- Grief, loss, and attachment wounds
- Relationships and relational patterns

- Want to cultivate self-compassion and internal awareness through embodied and nature-informed practices
- Feel curious about patterns, inner conflicts, or protective strategies as well as strengths
- Are already in therapy and would like a complementary, therapeutically-held group experience
Who is it for:
Everyone is welcome. No previous experience of IFS or ecotherapy is needed. A basic familiarity with IFS may be helpful, and some introductory information and resources will be shared before the group begins.
Come if you are curious about deepening your relationship with your inner and outer landscapes and want to heal and grow.
Workshop is suitable both for people who are new to IFS and Ecotherapy and those who want to deepen their understanding.
The group will be limited to six participants to support depth of connection, safety, and meaningful group process. This is a closed group, with a commitment to attend all four sessions. Closed groups support safety, trust, and continuity, allowing relationships and inner work to deepen over time without disruption.
This group is intended as a supportive, exploratory group experience. It may not be the right fit if you are currently in a period of significant emotional crisis, or if you are seeking intensive therapeutic support or professional training..
If you have any questions about suitability, please feel free to contact me.
“IFS groups offer an opportunity for participants to see their Parts as universally natural and part of being human. They foster insight and offer the feeling of community and the collective, felt experience of Self-energy.” Chris Burris.
