“Rob and Sebastiana led the various activities with warmth and kindness, guiding us into
a deeper awareness of ourselves through being present and alive to the natural world.
A nourishing oasis in a busy life!”
Workshops
Our nature-connection workshops offer opportunities to:
- Learn nature-based practices based on the values of reciprocity, reverence and respect towards the more-than-human world
- Grow your own sense of deep nature connection that supports exploration of your inner world and life
- Develop a greater awareness of the web of life and your place in it
- Discover your inner ecosystem – resources of your true Self, the wholeness of your human nature, and parts of you that hold you back
- Gather regularly in supportive and warm community to practise tending the land and ourselves
Workshop participants walk our land labyrinth
Over several years of working on our inner world in and with nature we have developed a way of working that, while helping ourselves to heal and grow, also honours our deep relationship with the more-than-human-world.
In the retreats and workshops we lead we have woven together threads from our work as psychotherapists, teachers of mindfulness and self-compassion courses, as well as our personal time in deep relation with the natural world around us.
In order to support deeper connection we have included practices such as the following in the workshops we offer:
- Nurturing and calming mindfulness and compassion practices
- Engaging more deeply in all our senses
- Movement and other expressive practices
- Nature-based Four Directions work, embodying our wholeness, our innate resources and healing what blocks us
- Becoming familiar with our inner ecosystem
- Fostering our own sense of deep nature connection, tapping into our natural wisdom, imagination, sense of belonging, and presence
- Finding our place in the web of life – exploring our ecological selves
- Digesting our experiences with creativity (creative writing, mark making, sculpting) and sharing in group
- Generosity – sharing together in community, gaining support and insight
- Periods of silence to increase our sense of connection and rest
Up to 30% of our profits from workshops go to help increase biodiversity on the 12-acre meadow we steward in Bramfield, Suffolk. We offer land-tending days to provide opportunities to care for the Earth and be part of a project that makes a difference. Your money is supporting the wildlife on the meadow, including our facilitators.
